Nick was new to the governing body from July 2018. I have been teaching Physical Education and Geography in Secondary Education for fifteen years. My Mum taught in Primary Education for Thirty Five years, so I was regularly 'employed' to support P.E. lessons and help with reading! This instilled a passion for education at a young age. I am keen to use my experience to support the school in any way I can, but also to develop my own understanding of education and young people through being a governor. I am a proud Welshman, I love my rugby and for my sins I follow Southampton FC! I have two daughters Ella and Cerys. Ella has now left Cosby, having thoroughly enjoyed her time here and is in the first term of her secondary school 'journey' in Year 7 at Thomas Estley. Cerys is in Year 5 and is glad to back at school with all her friends. Cosby School is at the heart of a wonderful community and living in Narborough this role gives me the opportunity to be a part of it. |

Gavin joined as a co-opted governor in December 2019 and sits within the management committee. He has 2 children who are both currently at Cosby Primary School, although his interest in becoming a school governor began whilst first looking around the school and deciding it was the place for his children. He believes every child should have a safe place to learn, free from bullying and discrimination, and have the chance to become the best they can be. Gavin spent the first part of his career in housing maintenance before spending 2 years living and working in Kenya. It was then time for a change and he has spent the last 15 years working for the Police.
